Ben Volin wrote of Goff: "the safer prospect with deadly accuracy who is more ready to step in and play as a rookie."
"[He] was the lanky three-year starter at Cal who is the most pro-ready quarterback among a questionable bunch. The Rams need a lot of help around Goff, but they have mortgaged their next two drafts. Good luck."

Volin's analysis of QB Carson Wentz: "The Eagles haven’t had a franchise quarterback since Donovan McNabb, and they are going all-in on Wentz, who started only 23 games at the FCS level."
"Didn’t get much publicity and played only two years at a lower level of college football, but dominated at the Senior Bowl and has the big body and big arm to be a franchise QB."

Volin calls Joey Bosa "the most complete defensive lineman in the draft, who can set the edge in the run game and rush from the outside or inside."
"His production slipped as a junior with only five sacks last year, but Bosa has the tools, physical skills, and versatility to be a dominant defensive end or outside linebacker as a pass rusher and run defender."

Volin on Elliot: "Inarguably the best running back in college football, with two consecutive 1,800-yard seasons and 41 rushing TDs. Has great size and decent hands."

Volin on Jalen Ramsey: "Ramsey was a candidate for the No. 1 pick. Also played safety in college, but has the size, athleticism, and work ethic to be an elite cornerback."

Volin on Ronnie Stanley: "Excellent pass blocker who needs to work on his run blocking. ... could start right away at left or right tackle."
