I don't see anyone stopping Everett in D1 North, but they could have a different Super Bowl opponent from D1 South. Catholic Memorial is probably the strongest candidate to dethrone Xaverian. Key storyline in D3 North: The Tewksbury/Billerica game has been moved from Saturday afternoon at Tewksbury's muddy elementary school field to Friday night at Chelmsford's turf field. Well, that regular season went by fast...
Playoffs start this week and D5 South is one of the toughest brackets in Eastern Mass., featuring two undefeated teams (Falmouth and Holliston) as well as Scituate and Canton at 6-1. Scituate has the toughest draw and the biggest chance of getting upset, hosting reigning State Champion Dennis-Yarmouth (4-3) in the first round. Canton hosting Hanover (5-2) isn't an easy game either. Falmouth probably has the best chance of making it through this field. In D5 North, Swampscott is the top seed and likely the favorite there too, but don't sleep on Amesbury.
