We published our top performances from Week 1, but there were plenty of standouts that didn't make the list. Everett's Isaac Seide rushed for 163 yards and 3 TD on just 13 carries against the stout Xaverian defense. Hawks senior defensive end Trevor Carroll had a huge game on the other side of the ball, what were some of the most impressive performances you saw during opening weekend?

Time for Week 2 action to kick off, I'll be at Everett and Mansfield and will be looking at a great individual matchup between Mansfield DB Khristian Conner and Everett superstar WR Mike Sainristil, what are the other top matchups to watch for tonight?

In Division 5 tonight, the top matchup is Scituate at Duxbury (D3). The Sailors pieced together a win last week but still have work to do in both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, the Dragons defeated B-R in dominant fashion to open their season, and they are definitely the favorite tonight.

Other games to watch are NEWBURYPORT at Ipswich (D6) and SWAMPSCOTT at TRITON.

Happy Friday! I'll be at Stonehill College tonight to see Catholic Memorial take on Stoughton. CM lost in this matchup last year, but a new coach and mindset in 2018 could change things. Stoughton is coached by Greg Burke who has built the program back to prominence over recent years, including a 10-2 season not long ago. Both sides boast impressive offenses, so it should be exciting.

Pentucket at Amesbury should be interesting as well. Both won their non league openers last week.

Tonight's Central Catholic vs St John's Prep football game is still on as scheduled with kickoff at 7 p.m. in Danvers. This according to both schools.

Another detail to add is that last night, the sophomore teams for both schools played at Prep. When Central Catholic went to head home, they found roads were blocked back into Lawrence. From @CCRaider_sports: "Sincere thanks to @sjpathletics for taking care of our Sophomore football team yesterday. The Raiders were unable to make it back into the city as access was blocked off. The athletic department at the Prep fed our boys and gave them a place to hang until we could get them home."

Well done, St. John's Prep!

That is quite a story up in Lawrence, if Andover and North Andover are able to play Saturday night, it will be interesting to hear from those kids where they had to stay last night and how it might've affected their pre-game routines

Xaverian won last year’s matchup with B-R, 32-7, while the Trojans last won in 2016, 22-21. That game ended a 25-game win streak for the Hawks @GlobeSchools

Both teams coming off trips to their respective sectional finals last year and wins in Week 1 this season.
